Srushti Dehmukh began preparing for UPSC in the third stage of her engineer degree. She was unsure if engineering is the right career for her. The answer became more clear when she shifted her focus to the civil job. Her parents encouraged her to go into civil service, and to pursue an employment in the public sector. She aimed her efforts at becoming a IAS officer. The job required to be an IAS officer can be more. Her plan was to complete the engineering subjects and then prepare for UPSC while also studying other topics. Exam preparation consumed all day long. She prepared for the exams for engineers in less than 1 1/2 months. She stayed clear of social activities and social media platforms altogether. Focus is crucial for her to pass this exam. She hopes to be a civil servant. She worked hard to achieve her aim to pass the test on her first attempt. Everyday, she read the newspaper to keep on top of the latest news.
